101 in 1001

I'm going to let you in on a little secret. I love lists. I like making them. I like seeing what all I have to do in one place. And, I really like being able to cross things off to see what I have accomplished.

So, I found this idea on another blog, and wasn't quite sure that it was what I thought it was. So, I enlisted my friend, Morgan, in helping me find out more about it. And, did she ever!! It's called The Day Zero Project.

The Day Zero Project
The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to comlete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
So, Morgan and I decided to take on this challenge together for the accountability! Some of my tasks are things that I need to get better about, some that I want to become habits, and some that are just things that I've wanted to do. So, here is my list!
