Wesley's Fourteenth Month- Sept. 15- Oct. 14, 2009

Wesley's Fourteenth Month was pretty eventful as places he went, but he didn't reach any real milestones this month. He went to his first Doo-Dah Parade to kick off the Poultry Festival, which was his second Poultry Festival.

This picture was taken after the Parade once we got home. I forgot the camera in our hurry to get out of the house! I have a post up with pictures from Wesley's second Poultry Festival here!
This is Wesley in his shirt that we got him from Las Vegas in July!! (We're not going to talk about how hard that trip was for me!)

This is a new thing though! He tips his bus over and stands on it! He also seems to think it's very funny!!

Wesley was sharing his dinner with his Daddy!! I don't remember now what he was eating, but he sure was proud of himself for feeding his Daddy!!

This picture was taken on Oct. 14th, so I included it. But, I LOVE the pics of my two guys!! It's so obvious to see how much they love each other!
I'm sorry for the quick look backs, but I will try to get better!!

Wesley's Thirteenth Month- Aug. 15- Sept. 14, 2009

I am awful with keeping up with this blog, but I will try to do better starting tomorrow (January 1, 2010)!! So, my goal is to get caught back up over the next few days, then to stay caught up! So, Wesley's Thirteenth Month was a VERY slow month activity wise! He did start pushing up into a stand on his own and taking a couple of steps here and there!!

Our big boy standing by himself after using his Daddy to push up on!

He went to his cousin, Gracie's third birthday party. Here he is smiling while crawling around the floor at the party!

And, he threw his first real fit!! Daddy told him to quit playing with the door so he wouldn't shut his fingers in it. So, Wesley decided to throw an all out fit!!

At the end of his fit, everything was okay! (By the way, his Daddy took the pictures of the fit. I wasn't home at the time!

Again, this month was a pretty uneventful month. I hope you enjoyed this look into Wesley's Thirteenth Month!

No Pictures

Well, I don't have a full post today due to not having any pictures to go with it. Jud's had a class for work this week, so he had to go stay in a hotel in Huntsville from Sunday til this Friday. Instead of being away from him, Wes and I tagged along! So, we've been stuck in a hotel all day Monday, Tuesday and today. I've got pictures, but I forgot to bring the card reader so those will have to wait. We got to go to the Prison Museum yesterday afternoon, but I ended up not taking my camera. That means no pictures from there. And, I've got news, but it will have to wait until I can show pictures!!

But, on a different note. To all my followers, thank you for helping me to completely pass my 15 on my 101!! Those of you that are following me that I'm not following, please leave a comment letting me know. I would like to return the favor!

I would also like to tell all of my followers (and friends) about a blog that a very dear friend and I have created together. From This Old House is a journey of two friends from different points of view on books, recipes, movies and life in general. I hope you will join Morgan and I on this journey!!

Hopefully,
Amanda

Happy Halloween 2009!!

It's been a couple of weeks since I have posted due to the three of us staying busy. I've started selling Pampered Chef, we had my cousin's son's 1st birthday party, and Jud and I went to a Hell House at a local church with our siblings! (That was lots of fun!!) But, I absolutely had to do a post on Wesley's Second Halloween! I had to work the night of his first Halloween, so we planned to make the most of his Second Halloween!

First, Daddy decided that he and Wesley were going to carve a pumpkin while I got ready! Here is what Wesley did while Daddy did the carving.

And, here is the pumpkin as Jud was first starting it!

Taking the top off........

After he cleaned it out.......

Working on cutting the design out.............

And, the final product!

Then, we headed out to my sis-in-law's church for their Fall Festival! Wesley on the way....

Wesley's cousin Gracie (a beautiful butterfly), Wesley (a cute little Monkey), another little girl from the church, and Wesley's cousin Ella (a delicious looking cupcake) during the costume contest!

Wesley and Ella together!

Wesley and Ella both won for their age group! Wesley got a stuffed puppy dog! Here he is with it!

After the costume contest, they had a wheelbarrel race. Wesley's Aunt Jamye and Aunt Jennifer teamed up for this. (We do have pictures, but I don't think that they would want me to post those! It was fun to watch though!) Next, was the cake walk! Wesley in front of me during the cake walk where he won one of Jennifer's (my sis-in-law) Mom's cakes!!

After we left the Fall Festival, we all headed back in town to Trick or Treat at Wesley's PopPop's house. On our way back into town, we were stopped on the highway where the police (and others) were getting things cleaned up from where a truck with a boat hit two horses. We believe the driver was okay, but the horses didn't fare as well. After we were allowed to pass, we finally made it to PopPop's. Here is the little monkey with his PopPop!

Here are the kids again! We had a hard time getting a cupcake, a butterfly and a monkey to all stay still enough for the picture!

After the group picture, we tried to get a little more Trick or Treating in, but only got to go to two houses. Most people had turned off their porch lights by this time. So, Wesley and both of his cousins headed to Wesley's NaNa and PopPop's house to Trick or Treat there! All three kids got little goody bags! Then, the rest of the group went to their separate homes, while Wesley spent more time with NaNa and Pop! Here he is playing in his PopPop's desk chair. NaNa was slowly spinning him around and he was loving it! (PopPop started this earlier in the week, so now Wesley goes over to the chair and tries to climb into it by himself!)

Well, that was our Halloween! I hope everyone else had a very enjoyable and safe Halloween!! Goodnight all!!

I'm requesting a mulligan, please!

Mulligan, please! Golfers know this term well!

Wikipedia defines a mulligan, "in a game, happens when a player gets a second chance to perform a certain move or action. In golf, a mulligan is a retaken shot on the first tee box, usually due to a previously errant one."

Simply put, if a golfer messes up his first shot on the first hole, he gets a second shot off the tee. He/she can only take a mulligan on the first hole.

Where does this come in, you ask? I've messed up on some of the numbers on my 101 in 1001. I have completed some of my numbers (#29, #54, and #97), but others I have messed up on. (Some of the daily ones.) So, rather than say I failed them and just quit on those, I'm requesting a mulligan on the first month (or rather, little over a month.) So, what do you say on a second chance, or a mulligan?

Wesley's Second Poultry Festival- 2009

We got to enjoy Wesley's second Poultry Festival Friday. Jud, Wesley and I met my parents there and hung out with them for awhile. Then, about the time my parents were ready to leave, Jud, Wesley and I met up with Jud's sister, Jamye, her husband (Michael) and their daughter (Gracie).

This is of Wesley as we were heading to the Fesival!

Wesley was trying to share his drink with the puppet! Sweet boy!

Wesley and Mommy in the Ferris Wheel! Wesley's first time!

The Historic Courthouse in the middle of the square.

The new courthouse from the Ferris Wheel on the square.

One of the views from the square on the Ferris Wheel towards our house.

Wesley riding the carousel.

So, they had it going to fast and he decided to bail into my arms!

Wesley and I on the Rockin'Tug. Another ride that Wesley didn't like too much!

Wesley was hanging on to me for dear life as we got off!!

Wesley took off to PopPop the first chance after the boat ride!! And, gave me the sad eyes, to boot!!

But, PopPop got him to smile!
Shortly after that, we ran into Jud's sister, her husband, and Gracie bug, and my parents left! Then, we all took the kids to ride the ponies!

Jamye with Gracie on the pony!

Wesley enjoying his ride on the pony! Me, not so much! Those ponies got going fast!! And, do you see the empty pony behind us? Poor Gracie got scared and decided that she wanted to get off about halfway into the ride.

But, Wesley sure was funny as tickled as he got!

Shortly after the pony rides, Wesley crashed! He was sooo tired that he slept for the rest of the time that we were at the Festival (which really wasn't that long). Jud even won Wesley a little stuffed Panda Bear! But, all in all, we had a really great time!

Skating, really?

I've been meaning to post about this since our niece's birthday party on September 12th. Jud's twin sister's daughter, Gracie, turned 3 on September 11th. So, Jud's sister rented a local church's life center for the party, which has roller skates and rollerblades for people to skate in the gym there. Well, part way through the party, I walk into the gym to see this:
Are you kidding me?? MY HUSBAND is putting on rollerblades?
Yep, he put them on, grinned and grabbed the door facing!
Going to skate on the carpet!! He thought it would be easier.

Was it? I guess, until his dad sent him back to the gym. It only took a few minutes after that for him to take them off!! But, it was very funny to watch him!! I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did when I saw him! I just wish that I had it on video!

Good night, Everyone!!
