Oh, wow! I'm exhausted! Today, we (Jud, Wesley, my Mom, Dad, Carter and I) drove to Rusk to ride the Texas State Railroad! If you live within driving distance, you HAVE to give this a try! In October, the Texas State Railroad puts on what they call the Great Pumpkin Patch Express, where we rode out to the Pumpkin Patch. They had Snoopy for the kids to meet, a petting zoo, corn box, a corn maze, food, entertainment, and even trick or treating! These were all while we were waiting at the train depot to board the train. Most were taken outside, but I did catch him playing at the train table inside!
And, I had to pull this one to the side to show by itself! They love playing together! I love my guys so much!!
These were taken on the train! Wesley really enjoyed the train ride! They have different cars to ride in that vary in price. One is climate-controlled, others are open-air. We chose to spend less and ride in the open-air one due to the beautiful weather we were having in October!
This is once we got out there! Wesley didn't want to bounce on the balls! He wanted to push them around. And, he was really intrigued with the young lady that they had singing!
These were taken while we were waiting to Trick or Treating, while Trick or Treating, and right after! Scooby Doo found Daphne! Then, he took pictures with Snoopy and with his cousin, Carter!!
And, these were on the return trip and after we got in the car! Wesley fought sleep on the train ride back, while Carter took advantage of Pop-Pop's arms! But, shortly after getting in the car, he totally crashed!
We had a wonderful time, but we were all worn out by the time we got home! Again, if you live within driving distance of the Texas State Railroad, GO!! This was lots of fun!!

Trick or Treating!
Anyone have Trick or Treating today? Here in the Bible Belt (East Texas), city officials decided that Trick or Treating would be on Saturday, instead of on Halloween due to it falling on Sunday. Wesley wasn't happy about getting in his costume for the second day in a row!
Our first stop was Nana and PopPop's house! We even caught cousin Carter there!! Wesley loves his cousins!
Wesley decided to act like Scooby Doo while we were there!!
After we left there, we went to a local subdivision where we knew a few of our friends live! This picture was taken at Stephanie's house. She is the wonderful lady that first introduced Jud and I! She is also the woman that took our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures!!
And, this picture was taken as we headed back to the car! It's (by far) not the best pic of Jud. I got on Wes' level and it didn't turn out great for Jud!
We had a good time and Wesley was tired and about ready for bed by the time we got home! Actually, so are Jud and I! Night night!!

Trick or Treat on the Square
Today was Trick or Treat on the Square here in our small town. Trick or Treat on the Square is great for the kids. It starts about 4 and lasts for about an hour. Both of my sisters-in-law, Jennifer and Jamye, and I decided to meet at Jamye's house (she lives just a little off of the square) and walk up there with all four of the kids! Jud and JimEd (Jud's middle brother and Jennifer's husband) had both just got off work, so they went with us. Here is our Disney Princess (Gracie) and our little Scooby Doo (our little Wesley), while we were waiting for Jennifer, Ella and Porter!
And, here is Aunt Jamye with Scooby Doo once we got on the square while we waited to get going.
Lucy Ball from I Love Lucy (Ella), Scooby Doo (Wesley) and a Disney Princess (Gracie)!
Wesley wasn't sure about the whole thing starting out, but he warmed up to it!
And, here is the sweetest little Pillsbury Dough Boy in the world!! (Porter James)
Scooby Doo was very happy to be done with the whole thing, especially after Jud found a Tootsie Roll in his candy!
Here is a TIRED little princess!
Some parents are soo creative!! Jenny came up with Lucille Ball and the Pillsbury Dough boy and another parent thought of the King from Candy Land!
Three sweet little cousins!
And, here is Ella trying to pose with Gracie and Wes on the way back to Jamye's house!
This was Wesley's first time going to Trick or Treat on the Square and I'm really glad that he got to do it with his cousins! They had a great time! And, I think us adults had a pretty good time too!

Visiting the Pumpkin Patch for the First Time!
Today, Jud and I decided to load Wesley up and head to the Pumpkin Patch at a church in Nacogdoches for his first time! At first, he didn't know what to think of all these orange things! But, he quickly became intrigued by this particular pumpkin sitting in the bird bath!
And, of course we had to fit in a picture with Mom even if he was looking at a little girl that was there!
And, he really loved this pumpkin, but Daddy didn't like it quite as much!
So, on the look went for the perfect pumpkin. The one that Wesley and Daddy could agree on!
And, finally we found two pumpkins that they both liked! One that Wesley could pick up and one that Daddy had to carry!
Wesley liked his little pumpkin SO much that he had to buckle it in when we got out to shop!!
After leaving the pumpkin patch, we went to grab a late lunch and did a little shopping before heading home. We had such a good time today!

We had a new baby born in the family on October 13, 2010 to Jud's middle brother, JimEd and his wife, Jennifer!! This is Porter James and his proud parents! (Proud big sister, Ella, is out with her Granny, getting something to eat!) Porter was 7 lbs, 4 1/2 oz. and 20 1/4 inches long!!
A handsome, healthy little boy!!
With perfect, long, tiny feet!!
Proud Pop-Pop with Porter!
Gracie and I working on a Which one is Different page in her coloring book while Wes looks on! (I don't really know why he's making that face!)
Proud Uncle Jud with Porter!
That looks like a smile to me!
And, YEP, I'm definitely a PROUD Aunt!!

A final picture of the happy family with their newest addition!!
We sure are extremely thankful for the newest healthy addition to the family!! We love you, Porter James!!

Wesley's 3rd Poultry Festival!
Every year in October, our city holds it's Poultry Festival! They have a chicken clucking contest, rides, vendors, and food! In high school, (and the first couple of years after) I went for the rides. Now, I like to go to check out the vendor booths where some are selling things they've made and others are promoting their businesses.
Wesley, on the other hand, enjoys the pony rides!

Winning toys! (He won this car when we paid for him to pick a duck out of a swimming pool!)
And, going down the big slide with Mommy! You can't tell it in this picture due to the blurriness, but he is laughing!!
Just after this picture, he turns and points back up the slide! He wanted to go again!
Jud did go with us, but he's not a big ride person. So, he took the camera and took pictures of Wes and I having all the fun!
