In Honor of Wesley's First Birthday!- Wesley's Fourth Month Nov. 15-Dec. 14, 2008

Wesley's Fourth Month was pretty exciting, also. He celebrated his first Thanksgiving with Daddy's family in Livingston! He cut his first two teeth this month, also, which were discovered Thanksgiving Day!

At Wesley's four month checkup, he weighed 13 pounds, 5 ounces and was 24 1/2 inches long. He also met a new friend this month, Baylee, who is also Cousin Gracie's best friends! He also started eating rice cereal this month. He didn't like it too much at first, but finally got used to it!

In Honor of Wesley's First Birthday!- Wesley's Third Month October 15- November 14, 2008

Wesley's third month had a few exciting moments! He went to his first family reunion, to the zoo for the first time and had his first Halloween! He still loved to sleep with his Daddy!! And, continued to wrap us around that little finger more and more!!

At his three month checkup, he was 12 pounds, 2 ounces and 23 inches! He had gotten even better at sleeping through the night. He could pull up to sitting and standing positions by holding onto our hands. And, had made a new friend, Jaxon, this month!

In Honor of Wesley's First Birthday!- Wesley's Second Month September 15- October 14, 2008

I got behind on writing these, but I am determined on finishing them! So, in honor of his First Birthday have passed, here is Wesley's Second month, September 15- October 14. At the end of his second month, he actually began to sleep through the night, most nights.

At his two month doctor's appointment, he was 11 pounds and 22 inches! He was laughing, beginning to coo and had discovered his feet. He loved sucking on his toes!! He had visited my workplace and we had made a family trip to the Boardwalk in Shreveport.

Wesley had truly blessed our lives already!

In Honor of Wesley's First Birthday- His First Month- Aug. 15-Sept. 14, 2008

Happy Birthday to our Wonderful Little Boy!! Today was Wesley's First Birthday!! We really didn't do a whole lot to celebrate today. He had his very First haircut today. (There will be a post in a few days with pictures!) But, today I wanted to post about his first month!! August was a very eventful first month. We loved every moment of having our baby boy to love and spoil!

This was his very first group picture with both of his cousins, Gracie (at the top) and Ella (in the seat with Wesley)!

Wesley's One Month Picture! (Taken Sept. 14, 2008)

By the end of his first month, which was actually September 14, 2008, he was 8 lbs, 3 oz. and 21 1/4 inches. Wesley was smiling and already turning from his back to stomach and back by the end of his first month!

Wesley did a good bit of visiting his first month. He went to his Pop-Pop's (Jud's Dad), his NaNa & PopPop's (my parents), his Aunt Jamye's & Uncle Michael's, and his Daddy's work. (He was working in Timpson at the time.)

He met his Cousin Gracie, Cousin Ella, and his friend, Cash!

This was just a quick look back over his first month in honor of his birthday! I hope you enjoyed it! It has really amazed me to look back and see just how much he has grown in his first year!

In Honor of Wesley's First Birthday- His First Day Home 08/15/08

Our baby boy turns ONE tomorrow! Where did the time go? It still amazes me that it went so fast! In honor of our son's FIRST birthday, I had planned to do a post a day this past week. But, between finishing up plans for his birthday party and working on another project (There will be a post on Monday explaining this project!!), it slipped my mind. So, instead, I am planning to start tonight and try to do a post a day to catch on the wonderful first year of our beautiful son's life!

Today's post is of his first day home!


The first thing Wesley did after arriving home (after having a diaper change and bottle!) was to try out Daddy's recliner!! He definitely agreed with Daddy about it being comfortable!

Then, Wesley played host to his first guests at home, his Uncle JimEd (holding Wesley) and his Uncle JoJo (red shirt). These are Daddy's two older brothers!!

And, he got to meet his cousin, Ella, for the first time!!

Shortly after that, he met Daddy's best friend, Jesse, and his future best friend, Cash!

Then, after all that company, he took a nap with Daddy! This quickly became a habit!

This is Wesley's first sponge bath. He did not like that at all!!

As you can see, he had a very busy first day at home!

Now to let you in on what I was feeling! I had never been so amazed and scared at the same time! In the hospital, it's easy. There were nurses there to ask questions and who watched Wesley in the nursery, while I got some sleep. But, at home, it was all Jud and I. We were in control of this perfect little person who depended on us to take care of him and make all of the right decisions. I never realized how quick you could fall in love with someone before. Don't get me wrong, I loved him while I was carrying him. But, the first time I held him, it was overwhelming to truly realize that I would give my life for this child without a second thought. He was (and still is) absolutely, amazingly perfect! And, I can definitely say there is not a love out there stronger than a love of a mother for her child. Jud and I are extremely thankful for our little Wesley Neal.
