A New Light Comes to Shine in Our Lives- August 14, 2008

Jud and I had dated for over three years and were married July 21, 2007. I married my best friend and the love of my life. I didn't think our life could get any better. At least, until I found out that we were going to have a baby! We found out that I was pregnant November 30, 2007. I first felt our baby move at about 19 weeks. It was just a small flutter at first and continued to get stronger. We found out that we were having a little boy on March 27, 2008. By then, we already had the name picked out for our little Wesley Neal. The estimated due date was August 5 and was later moved to August 3.

The doctor allowed me to go 10 days past due. He had me come in on the 13th to start tablets, with plans to induce the next morning. By the next morning, there was no need. The doctor came in at 7 A.M. and said that we would have a baby by lunch. It was about an hour and a half later that the nurses had to call him to come back from his office.

Our perfect little boy was born August 14, 2008 at 8:56 A.M. Wesley Neal was 7 lbs, 7-3/4 oz. and 21 inches long. He had a head full of dark hair. He was so much more than the perfect angel that I dreamed of.

A very tired, but happy family!

It was a very exhausting day! But, it was more than I could have ever hoped for. Out little guy is amazing and such a wonderful blessing! My heart is fuller than it has ever been.
