My New Shelves!- October
The other weekend ago, my sweet husband decided to build shelves into our half wall in our living room for my books and our DVD's and stuff. This is the best before picture that I have. There was paneling up with texture that we had painted.
So, first, he had to take the paneling down. Then, under that there was the old cloth wallpaper that was used way back that he had to take down also.
Then, he (with a little help from my Dad) had to take down the boards that were under the cloth wallpaper.
He left the top part of the wall instead of doing shelves up it.
After taking all the boards down, this is what we saw. That seemed to make it a little easier.
After getting the first column finished!
After getting the shelves put in.
After he finished building the shelves!!
After we finished getting the shelves painted!! I think that they really look good!!

The far right two columns are for DVD's.
Jud really put a lot of hard work into these shelves. And, I think they really ended up looking good. I'll post a few pictures with them decorated a little later!

I LOVE IT!!! We need more storage in our house and it drives me crazy! I'm hoping to refinish a dresser for our guest bedroom to help out the storage in that room. Can't wait to see how you decorate your new shelves!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Heather - I love them! They turned out really, really good! I can't wait to see them all decorated.
ReplyDeletePS: Jud did good work - you can tell that he and your dad worked hard on them!
